Custom fields
Add fields of your own to contacts, companies, deals and leads: text, number, date or dropdown.
Add a field#
Custom fields are set up by a Jira administrator in Settings, and apply to everyone on the site.
- In Custom Fields, pick the record type: contact, company, deal or lead.
- Press Add Field, name it and choose its type.
- Press Save Fields.

| Date | Typed as YYYY-MM-DD. |
| Dropdown | List the options, separated by commas. Up to 30 options. |
Each record type can have up to 15 custom fields, and a field's name can be up to 40 characters.
Where they appear#
- At the bottom of the record's form.
- In a More fields box on its card.
- As columns in its CSV export.
Changing a field later#
You can rename a field, reorder it and edit a dropdown's options. Its type is fixed once it is added.
Removing a field hides its values, and they are cleared from a record the next time it is saved.
