Search, filters and saved views
Find a record in seconds, narrow a list to what matters today, and keep your favourite filters one click away.
Search#
Each section has its own search box above the list, which searches that section by name and other key fields. There is no search across all sections at once, and the text of notes is not searched.
Long lists show 50 rows at a time, with page numbers under the table. Search and filters always cover the whole list.
Where a form links one record to another, such as a deal's contact, start typing in the picker: it finds records whose name, or a person's surname, begins with what you typed.
Filters#
Quick filters sit above each list. Which ones you see depends on the section:
| Section | Quick filters |
|---|---|
| Leads | My Leads, Unassigned, status, rating, source, stale |
| Deals | My Deals, Stale, Overdue, No Next Step, Unassigned, stage, type |
| Contacts | My Contacts, Do Not Contact, Unlinked (no company), company |
| Companies | My Companies, Unlinked, industry, With Open Deals |
| Products | Unused, category, unit |
| Tasks | My Tasks, Overdue, Due Today, priority, type |
The numbered tiles above a list are filters too. Click a tile and the list narrows to exactly those rows; click it again to clear it. The Dashboard tiles work the same way and open the right list already filtered.
To sort, click a column heading.
Saved views#
When you have filters set, a Save view button appears. Give the view a name (up to 60 characters) and press Save. It shows up as a button above the list: click it to bring those filters back, or press × next to it to delete it.
- Saved views are yours alone. Colleagues do not see them.
- A view is a set of filters for one section. It does not freeze the data: the same view next week shows next week's rows.
- There is nothing to save until a filter is on, so the button is hidden on an unfiltered list.
On Deals, turn on My Deals and Stale, then save the view as My stale deals. Every Monday, one click shows what to chase.
